4-Step Guide to Prepare Sea Moss into Sea Moss Gel

Step 1: Rinse and Clean the Sea Moss
Start by thoroughly rinsing the sea moss under cold water to remove any dirt, sand, or debris. Since raw sea moss is collected from the ocean, it's important to ensure it’s free of any contaminants. You can also soak the sea moss in a bowl of water for 10-15 minutes to loosen any remaining impurities before rinsing.

Step 2: Soak the Sea Moss
Once cleaned, place the sea moss in a bowl and cover it with water. Let it soak for 8-24 hours. This soaking process rehydrates the sea moss, softening it and expanding its size. Make sure the sea moss is completely submerged in water. You can change the water once or twice during the soaking period to keep it fresh.

Step 3: Blend the Sea Moss
After soaking, add the sea moss to a high-speed blender. Add fresh, clean water to the blender. Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth, gel-like consistency. If needed, you can adjust the water to get your desired thickness.

Step 4: Store the Sea Moss Gel
Transfer the sea moss gel into an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. The gel can last for up to 3 weeks when properly refrigerated. You can also freeze portions of the gel for long-term storage.
